Actually — unless I misunderstand you (I'm still new at this) I
only have to create one "Starhawk" as a whole bunch of hierarchical
segments, then lay out a few "skeleton" motions and "spine" the
wing-tips, and set up a few key frames just to make certain
everything's moving the way I want it to; while Playmation supposedly
can do all kinds of morphing, there's no actual need to do so on this
type of figure (besides, even the best morphs I've ever seen tended
to look like one solid object "melting" into another solid object —
not that that implies that I've seen the best morphs ever).
The big problem I'm having right now is making all these
stuck-together segments not look quite so "stuck together"….
There's a WHOLE lot that the manual leaves unexplained (as if all the
typos aren't bad ENOUGH): At this point I don't know if the "joint"
effect can be solved by a "patch overlay", or if I need to use extra
segments in the joints…. Sigh….
