You're absolutely right; I bought a used copy of ProPage 1.1 several years
ago, transferred the registration rights to my name and have dumped
several hundred dollars since then upon Gold Disk for upgrades. They made
money on me and didn't charge any changeover fee. I do see what Blue
Ribbon is trying to accomplish, but perhaps as you suggest it is
counterproductive.
