#IGS HELP!
I hate to point my finger at other people, but I would say that you should talk
to the people who make design cad 3d since you mention that even in design cad
you are missing stuff and it is not shading properly. Can you tell us where the
IGES file is coming from?
IGES is a very complicated language, it's got quite a few intricacies. A lot of
translators often do not totally translate surfaces. Even AutoCAD's built in
translator doesn't understand surfaces very well. However, our new translator
does an excellent job with surfaces. I've gotten some really beautiful meshes
from it to bring into 3ds.
