Of course, Philips has spent beaucoup bucks selling whatever number of CD-I units. C= didn't spend nearly that amount on R&D or marketing. I also suspect that some of the CD-I sales figures I've read are wishful thinking. Places that used to sell 'em, like Sears, are out of the business. Nor has Tandy's VIS done at all well. This market is still ripe for the plucking.
