The Encarta movies *are* jumpy. <g> I believe that play at a frame rate of
about 8 frames per second, perhaps even less. Encarta was developed before
Video for Windows, and does not use that technology — the movies are really
some kind of animation.
The reason for the low frame rate: to converse disk space.
