Yes, David if you have the bucks buy the Pioneer 604x. It's good as a home
unit too. I have mine loaded with Phone Disk Reverse – Western edition, Phone
Disk Business national, Map Expert, Word/Bookshelf, Corel Draw 4.0 (2 disks). I
also have a single play Sony CDU-541 drive. I do a lot of beta testing and
write reviews, so it is necessary for me to have different hardware to isolate
bugs. I think the 604 is worth it's additional cost for the speed and
convenience it provides. I also suggest you pick up Norton Speed Cache Plus as
a good CD-ROM and hard disk caching program.
