Must be something specific to your machines or 3DS.SET files, like always looking for the CD ROM in Map Paths, etc. It *doesn't* show up in my 3DS file menus, though, if I've started 3DS while th CD ROM is playing music. If there isn't a music CD in it at startup, then it shows as an additional drive. I imagine that there are many different types of CD ROMS and drivers; some probably work like this and some probably don't. John
