I would think that by 2003 – most edible fish stocks would be raised in farms possibly far inland using synthetic ocean salts etc. Fish raised in ocean environs are prey to parasites etc. and make for very irregular fish. I'd bet there would be large indoor tanks with lighting and current simulations so that genetically engineered salmon, scrod, tuna etc. would proliferate in controlled conditions. 'Wild' anything is pretty much too difficult to raise in 'wild' conditions.
