Lanny Yikes! Did I see you say that you are stuck at 2400 for CI$? Now that is archaic. I understand that AOL may be a bit behind the times as they are a new player, and because of the way they are geared towards interactive access I can accept not having an automated access program. However, let me agree most strongly with Doug about automated access to CompuServe. I do still use CIM, it's good for hunting around in the free areas, getting news and weather, etc. But, for forum access or DL'ing large files, automated is the only way to go. Since I've started using TapCis and a 14.4 node, I've been able to cut what I spend to be on-line by about two thirds, INCLUDING the price I pay to the phone company to connect to the node. Automate, automate, automate! Your computer can find its way around CI$ much faster than you can, provided you tell it where to go. I gather that you are a MAC user, so I can't reccomend any particular program to you, but I'm sure that someone here will step in and tell you about their personal favorite. DMG
