I suspect you want [A] thin sliced letters such that when they are at rest at the end they form solid, completely formed letters. ? Or do you want [B] the final letters to be a sliced font with thin slices separated by space? Just for fun, I tried to slice letters, two ways. (Assuming option [A] above, you have to boolean two sets of letters, each with alternating rectangles, then combine.) For booleaning after lofting, I made three letters, snap/created a bunch of thin boxes, attached them all into one obj., tessellated with OPTIMIZE, and boolean/subtracted the whole mess. I took a while, but worked OK. Alan's 2d shaper/booleaning worked quicker. I snap/made a bunch of quads, subtracted one at a time, then lofted. The only catch here is for letters made of more than one poly, like "o", which take a little extra effort. JKJ
