Correction to that last message: the Loma Prieta earthquake was 7.1 or
so, not 8.1. The great, famous San Francisco Earthquake that is extolled in
song and fable is estimated at 8.1 to 8.4.
BTW, don't they have earthquakes in the Philippines? You're not going
to be there long, but "break a leg."
