Attention 3D Studio Artist and Professionals:
May, 23, 1995
"Harnessing 3D Studio" from Delmar Publishing is a tutorial/application
guide for design students who want learn and explore computer design
visualization with Autodesk's 3D Studio. This 700 page book delves into
creating 3D objects, selecting materials and textures, rendering 3D images,
producing keyframe animation, and much more! There are 15 tutorial projects,
as well as a CD-ROM with sample images and animations.
A section of this book is devoted to exploring the many professional
applications that 3D Studio employ. For example, one chapter of the
book deals with Architecture – concepts, visualization, fly-byes,
and walk-throughs. Subsequent chapters include:
Engineering
Product Design
Forensic
Medical
Multimedia and Entertainment
Broadcast
I am seeking interested professionals who would like to contribute tips,
tricks, advice, and sample artwork to be included in the section that
pertains to your field of expertise. This book is targeted for both
students and professionals who are new to 3D Studio and design visualization,
and would like to know what it is used for. Your contributions would be
greatly appreciated, and all contributors will be given credit in the book.
I am also looking for renderings, animations, mesh files, script files,
and sample projects to be included on the CD-ROM. This is a great
opportunity for talented 3D artist who would like to show of his or her work.
I would also like to here from 3DS User groups and Training Centers.
There will be a list included in the appendix.
