>> The solution is to redirect things to a subdirectory instead of the root. Great idea, but I guess I wasn't clear about what I had done: 1. I used cfig386 to make g:\swap my swap directory (Phar Lap) 2. I used 3ds.set to make g:\3dstemp my temp directory Since I have absolutely nothing on the 2 gig logical drive I have reserved for temp files (I use the other half of the 4 gig drive as my file storage for final resulting files, logical drive f:\ , yet I am still running out of space when creating a 300 frame flic file, I am wondering if there is a software glitch that causes this, or if there is some temporary file that 3DS creates in the process of creating a flic file that I still haven't directed to own "black hole" disk space…. I know I am not supposed to be making flic files, I should be going to sequential targa's or ani files, but since I still don't have my own personal PAR card and I want to see the animation, I am trying for flics for previews…. Perhaps Autodesk could comment on a list of all temp files created in the process of rendering and where they go and which ones can be redirected…perhaps one must go to the *.exe disk and is not able to be redirected, that would explain all…..
