David With regards to "Heart of Darkness". It's a Paris developed, animated, Interactive movie I thought was only available in Europe and was already released! I misunderstood the release date for the cd and after looking a little closer it's the 4th quarter of 95. Sorry! I guess I owe you a better explanation for "Heart Of Darkness"! I get a magazine called "Next Generation" that is a gaming industry publication that reviews Studios and producers of new product. The mag also reviews the insane world of the corporate giants, their talented employees, the platforms they development and development techniques. In the June issue there is a large article about a Paris based studio called Amazing Studio that ( through Virgin Interactive in London) is releasing a pc based cd game called "Heart of Darkness", which has been under development since 1992. Amazing Studio is a 12 man company . A guy named Frederic Savoir is the lead coder and Eric Chahi the lead animator. It's supposed to set a new definition for "Interactive Movie" and what's unique about it's development is that the design team tested hardware/software combinations prior to production and decided against SGI in favor of 3dstudio. "We thought about using Silicon Graphics and we tried them, " says Eric Chahi "But they're expensive and so is the software. They were very good but when we tested them (end of 1993) they were full of bugs and for the price that is unacceptable." It's a very exciting article and even though I'm far from that industry I think the effort that their product is absolutely INCREDIBLE! I guess Paris is a pretty big town, huh! The photo of the development team makes them look like French underground……..minus berets and striped shirts, of course!!<G> See you tonite, unless I can't get my car out of the shop! Gary
