This tip discusses date input in BASIC programs, and illustrates an error
trapping routine that will "build" a correctly formed date string from
practically any input.
This technique would be useful for trapping date errors in input for
bookkeeping programs, expense reports, or anywhere a date string is needed in a
program.
Second portion of the tip describes the IBM date format, how it is used for
sorting dates, and how it can be constructed from the previous input routine.
