Dave, This tip discusses date input in BASIC programs, and illustrates an error trapping routine that will "build" a correctly formed date string from practically any input. This technique would be useful for trapping date errors in input for bookkeeping programs, expense reports, or anywhere a date string is needed in a program. Second portion of the tip describes the IBM date format, how it is used for sorting dates, and how it can be constructed from the previous input routine. File merged into the database at 5190 bytes.
