The resistor costs a fraction of a dollar, while the motherboard will cost
anywhere from $200-$500 to replace (depending on who does it). You be the
judge. However, all A2620s should have this bus transceiver resistor installed
on the m'bd, since it helps avoid contentions with other devices like the
