If your software was "written correctly" it'll work just fine on the
3000. Game movement should be based upon timers, not CPU speed.
Unfortunately some games are not written correctly. If it were me, I'd go
for the 3000 — regardless of what software failed to work. But that's me.
My second choice, given finances, would be Mike S's suggestion — get the
3000 and keep the 500 too.
