Perhaps your son misread the document files which come with the 2.0 beta
stuff. Deselecting an icon is done with the RIGHT mouse button while the
left is deprressed. NO, I don't know why they chose this method, but it
DOES work.
Maybe he doesn't really understand 'extended select' which has been on
the Amiga since 1.1. Shift click has ALWAYS added one more icon the the
selected 'set', while simply clicking on an icon deselects ALL others.
Why don't you have your son join us some evening in CO? That way he can
get answers fairly quickly, there are several other developers who hang out
regularly in AmigaTech CO…mostly from 2100PDT onwards.
