If your son is legitimately using WorkBench 2.0 on his 2000, then he has
access to the proper channels to report any problems encountered. 2.0 for
the 2000 is ONLY available to developers registered with Commodore, and
there are specific methods available for developers to work with CBM.
From the sound of your message, I suspect that your son is not a
registered developer. He is running a risk of real problems using
unauthorized Beta version software, as there may very well be real
problems. Developers are informed of problems as they are found, and have
been provided with guidelines as to how to "be prepared" for any
contingency. I'm not saying that there ARE problems in those versions –
I'm covered by non-disclosure agreements that do not permit me to talk
about any specifics regarding Commodore's beta test programs.
