The only advantage it has is that it can, with a lot of careful work and
tuning by the developer of a new application, provide fair multitasking as
long as there are NO misbehaving tasks around.
There are *no* specific advantages to co-operative M/t, as compared to
pre-emptive in the general case. Co-operative M/t is an ugly neccessity on
the Mac; they'd kill it in a centon, if they could.
