The windows analogy is an interesting one. Look at the costs involved
for the developer there. The SDK costs about $300, if I remember right. In
order to use the SDK, you MUST also purchase Microsoft's C Compiler
package, which is another $250 – $400 (street prices). I'm not sure what
Microsoft charges for their developer's conferences, but I seem to remember
a number in the $2000 ballpark. We're talking a significant chunk of
change here, especially considering the size of the market. If Commodore
wre able to generate that type of revenue _just from developers_, I'm sure
we'd see the same type of developer support available here. <grin>
