Thank you, Ken. We tried 2/4 and 4 capstan lock, recommendation was 2/4. Things that we noticed: Sync is different between composite and RGB we had to keep alternating pins 6 & 7 depending which disk to tape method we were trying. Also we wonder how to use a scope to adjust the horizontal control on the back metal panel of the Targa+. We gave up on component since our ForA Transcoder had a lousey black, no where near 7.5 IRE. The external adjustments on Tcoder were RGB only. Had no effect on black level. I wonder what the best sync path is for disk to tape. If we render composite should we run Targa+ composite into video ref on BVW75 then loop it into video in? Or give deck black burst in video ref, and composite into video in?
