#3ds2 drivers
I'm having difficulty with the video drivers in 3ds2. The vesa drivers that
came with the package seem to be, quite sluggish. Can someone reccomend some
others? First choice of course would be shareware off of Compuserve. Last
choice, I pay.
Equipment: 486, 25 mhz. video is ATI wonder xl (16 bit)
I also need to show my ignorance here. I don't understand why these drivers are
necessary. If the computer boots up, displays fine, and goes to countless other
programs with no trouble at all, why do I have to go spend money for decent
performance on these autodesk applications? And why in 3ds2 do I have to set up
the renderer, materials editor, and others all to use different drivers/files
(or the same one, each specified seperately)
