Rugged Amiga?

Richard, the local cable company (Comcast in Flint,MI) uses an Amiga 500 with a GVP hard drive in their truck. I'm not sure of the mounting details. I seem to remember them saying they were going to mount it on a board which set on foam blocks. These days, a 1200 would be a better choice, since the HD mounts inside, and the graphics are much improved. One of my other customers was looking at rack mounting the 1200. He decided it would take more work than he wanted to do. The computer would fit into a rack box, but it would have to slide out to get access to the keyboard and floppy. The disk could be moved, but the keyboard would be trickier. It uses one of those flat plastic printed cables, it doesn't look like a 2000 style keyboard could be hacked in. There is a rack mount kit for the 2000 though…. Jim
