Merrick, I have experienced good tech support from Sony. I have a CDU-531
drive and I feel it was a good choice at the time I made it. Now there are
drives that are a lot faster. I also have a Pioneer 604x. Sony probably
depends on the manufacturers of the interface cards to provide drivers for
their drives, but my experience shows they are willing to take the steps
necessary to help them get them working.
