Don, Oooo—Boooy…. << In all cases you always hook up the VGA monitor to your original VGA card as usual. The video(NTSC) in and out come from the breakout cable on the Magni. >> I was kinda hoping I could loop the output of the Rendition II card that normally would go to the monitor through the Newer Magni thereby eliminating the need for a "Feature Connector" & a Brooktree cable connections setup. As I now understand it no matter what version of the Magni VGA Producer I have I'll have to add another VGA card to my system because I have to remove the RenditionII's 256 color RVGA Daughterboard….correct? Could I eliminate the extra daughterboard by choosing (purchasing!) a different newer graphics board with a different setup regarding the on-board vga? [ Maybe then I could return the $97.00 Brooktree connector and use the oridinal RAM DAC IC Adaptor…except the one I received from Michele appears to have some special Solder work done to it with an unknown Ram Dac already on it….Maybe I better stick with the Brooktree setup!] If so Who do Ya Like! Since I'm using 3D studio and Animator Pro 1.3 and it looks like I'm going to have to buy another VGA card perhaps this would be the time to upgrade the 2 year old Rendition II. It's served me well but I've got to look at what's new and what my clients may want to see. What do you think about the Matrox MGA card? Could it coexist nicley? Actually I had hopes that the newer card would take the regular VGA out through some kind of loop-through so I could keep the Rendition II and if Magni would take back all the additional connectors & things I've thusfar purchased I could ship back Michele's Board to her and purchase the new one. Now if I am going to have to purchase additional items to get the Magni to work in either version I guess I'll be much better off sticking with the older original Magni given the current investment. Michele has been wonderful about this whole thing and If you haven't purchased her books yet I feel duty bound to Highly recommend them to you for your 3DS needs….I just ordered mine today so I'll be able to give you a more detailed review in a few weeks.<g> I've heard they've gotten rave reviews though!
