I'm finding that the best thing about Lippman's C++ Primer (2d ed.) is reading it twice, then three times, with efforts at real-world coding in between each read. Things that didn't compute on the first read, compute much better the second time around. But I'm still looking for a good book containing examples of usage on the Mac, specifically, with toolbox calls, handles, etc.
