We came up with a solution for the "screen size" issue for the tutorial file:
Windows Help. Try it…. You can use TrueType fonts for your text screens,
and the text re-formats based on the actual window size, and isn't locked to
any specific resolution. The screen re-paints much faster than AAWIN. You can
"hyper-link" the AutoCAD screen graphics to a "key" word or phrase like: "Pick
here to see the AutoCAD screen…". The file sizes are MUCH smaller, and the
Help program is built right into Windows, so there's no extra program to
install. The Help program has capabilities for searching, paging
forward/backward, contents, etc.
I'm not sure how to build a Help file, but I bet a message in one of the
Windows Developers forums might provide an answer to this. I've heard that
they're not very difficult (but that's all relative <g>) to make. Anybody know
how this is done???
What do you think? Obviously, it's too late now to re-do your exercise, but the
solution should be workable for future "tutorials" like this.
