Well…. "stiction" is a problem more likely to hit Seagates, but I've seen a few Quantums get it. I've got an old Seagate on my spare 2000 that has it. With Seagates, you can poke the spindle to get it going. The Quantums are sealed up tight, but sometimes you can get them to spin up by rapping on the side of the drive. -Jim MOS via Autopilot & Amiga
