Tom, The video 23-15 pin adapter I have is the C= one (part# 690682-01). What is the "Strainer" and what would it do better than the adapter I'm using? BTW did a little experimenting and found that while some games work fine with DBLNTSC in, others do not even come up (that is why I suspected the mode promotion feature). I picked up a number of older programs lately (stuff not made after '92) and while they work in the boot up mode (AGA on my A1200) they do hang or go with a video scramble at some time. I then used the Early Startup Config feature with 3.0 and rebooted using the enhanced (ie ECS) selection rather than best available and while I lost my coloured workbench (for AGA only of course) it did boot with a bigger WB screen and all those finicky programs worked (as well as using the whole screen on the Diamondscan instead of the partial screen with the black borders).
