Spira maintains the location of your files whether they are in the cache or on the disc, much like any hard disk caching software would. Don't think of the 25MB as a virtual image, but just as a buffer location to insure disc writing. Sounds like you have a production type need. It is true that Spira is not designed for the high volume production work you may require. We try to make it a lot easier for the average computer user to take advantage of CD-R as general purpose data storage, much like SyQuest, ZIP drives, MO, etc. As an example, you might have a personal need to copy files to disc, outside of the production work required. Personal archive and backup, or distribution of files. We eliminate the need to treat CD-R output as a process. Of course, you can use premastering and Spira at the same time if you desire. David
