Thankyou all for your responses. I see that more information is necessary. The problem I have is that when I go into my PC setup there is only room for 2 HDs. So, it doesn't look like I can configure it in without removing one of the other drives which I don't want to. The drive comes with an IDE controller card and a driver which get has to be copied in and added as a device in the config.sys. I did all that and the processor just hangs when I try to boot up. I called up a local PC shop and they said they could do it but it would be a big deal. I am willing to do that, except right now, I cannot afford to have my PC in a repair shop because I have to do some animation work with some tight deadlines. Soooo, if I can figure out how to do it without turning it over to the repair shop, I'm all set. The documentation said something about having to reconfigure other IDE devices. I don't know enough about it to know exactly what that means. My otther two drives ARE IDE drives. Jim Hawkins
