# USED 1000 OR NEW 500?

Steven, I agree that the 2000 is the best solution, but how is the 500's expansion slot difficult to access? I had no trouble accessing it. And yes, you must either buy a replacement power supply, or use the power supplies that come with the peripherals. (The genlocks and digitizers I've seen don't need extra power. Hard disks and extra memory do). But it CAN be done. My point was that all the options available to 1000 owners are available to 500 owners, and then some. They are just external, and therefore can quickly clutter up your desk. Oh, andthe 500 doesn't have a video slot, so I can't get a Flicker Fixer. <sigh> But then neither does the 1000, does it? Lee
