Ben, Re: Definition of monochrome. Yes, I follow you, and I apologize for my oversight. For some reason I have never thought of grey scale monitors as monochrome, although I certainly knew this by definition. Actually you mentioned the DSP as a big step forward in sound technology, which I feel is understating its role. As for the 2500 supporting a MMU, but not the OS…exactly the point. Many people criticize the NeXT as just an assembly of features available as additions to many other computers, but miss the point that the developers (hardware and software) can count on these features being in every system out there. Therefore support for the MMU and DSP will be expected. As for color capability, I believe I mentioned earlier, if not to you then to someone, that the absence of color is a significant limitation, but one that Jobs is addressing. I guess we will have to disagree as to the NeXT's future. I see its appeal as being much more than what we have discussed (ie, hardware). As with all things, we'll just have to wait and see. Matt
