Yup, we drove. Bob and I don't mind long trips; we had too much sensitive equipment to air-ship, we had indefinite travel plans, we'd have needed to rent cars, etc. so we drove. I left Dallas on Saturday, got home Sunday noon. Almost as good as flying. I don't think we went through Oklahoma City. I remember Muskogee. BTW, I liked Oklahoma much more than Arkansas. Lots of people had told me Oklahoma was "the armpit of the world", but I liked it. Arkansas? Kinda scary. Saw one car with a David Duke bumpersticker *and* a Confederate flag sticker. A little overkill, I thought – only one of the two would have had the same effect. 🙂
