From a few messages back, it looks like you got your tape drive working. But I'm answering your question about SCSI drive order and termination so you and others will know the right way. The order of the drives should not matter. Tape first, disk last and disk first, tape last should not matter if everything is a good SCSI device. The only time I've heard of unit ordering mattering is if one unit has unremovable terminators. Then that unit must be the last unit on the SCSI cable. Termination placement does matter. The ends of the SCSI cable must be terminated and no where else. So the terminated unit should be the last unit and connected at the end of the cable and hopefully the GVP controller has termination because it is probably on the other end of the cable. // \X/ Amiga or bust!
