Lowell, I don't have answers to all of your questions, but I may be able to at least partially answer some of them. I have a Bernoulli with an A3000. 1) The disk light flashing, you assumed, is when the machine is checking for a disk change. That is also my take on it. 2) I also just wrote the RDB to the cartridge and did no low-level format or bad block check. It may be a good idea to use one of the disk checking programs to check for bad blocks. 3) The reason cartidges should only have 1 partition is for when you change disks. If you change to a disk with different partition information, the machine can't handle it. 4) You should be able to name the partitions anything you want. I would assume the new name would be detected at the time of the disk change. 5) I always boot my machine with a cartridge in the drive. I don't know how to do it otherwise. 6) You seems to have got all the questions that I have ever had on the Bernoulli. I can't think of anything else. Rick – On Autopilot from Vancouver
