Paul, You can get 2.1 to work in your 1000. I know there are ROM switchers availble. It may be worth your time to investigate that but, it probably would cost $50 for the switcher (or so) and 60 or 70 for the ROMS. If you don't have the $… It gets to a point where deciding between putting $ into the 1000 vs. buying something else (an a1200?) is difficult. Go ahead and sell it. Maybe someone else can use it.
