Based on past experience, they just start fitting 2.0 ROMs when the stock
of 1.3 ROMs runs out. No announcements, nothing. The first anyone hears of
the new version is when somebody gets home from the shop, switches on and
says "hey I've got 2.0 ROMs" here. Commodore will probably deny all
knowledge.
At least that's true for the UK. (witness 1.3 where they were shipping
machines for a long time that had 1.3 ROMs, but 1.2 Workbench disks!)
