Laurie: I knew I probably shouldn't have written a message that appeared to be an Amiga-flame, because I didn't intend for it to be. Witness the fact that I am sitting here in front of my Amiga typing this note to you. I AM concerned with Commodore because what happens to the Amiga is directly a result of their actions. It seems so unprofessional for these types of rumors to even be circulating. Dionne says yes, Ali says no. Dionne says yes again, Ali says no again. After all the hoopla and promises of 2.0, now it seems that marketing decisions have yet to be made. I've been standing here with the $$$$ in my hand to buy a 3000. The only thing holding me up, is wondering what CBM has up their sleeves. Remember the 1000 plus 1000 deal that was immediately followed by the 3000 release. HP did the same thing with the Deskjet 500. I've been wondering what surprises are in store. I don't want to say "Gee, I wish I'd known that CBM was going to release that a week after the Power-Up was discontinued." I want to make sure that my computer investment is sound, and that develpment carries on for the Amiga. I am not a Toaster user, so that end of the market means nothing to me, other than I think its fun to look at. I use my machine for applications, telecommunications, graphics, and games in that order. BTW, it sounds like your local PC salesperson needs to go back to Computer101 so he doesn't embarrass himself like that again. See ya later. George – via Whap!
