If they've really re-written so much, then we're really in trouble. New code means new bugs. New code doesn't sound like a very smart way to keep things from breaking. Dragging the "beta" process out over four years means that 2.0 hasn't really been tested, in my mind. When it really hits the user base, I predict a flood of new bugs and an even greater intensity of screaming here in the forum. Sometimes it's so *easy* to be cynical, and the problem is, I think it's a safe prediction.
