Bitmap graphics are handled differently in PGS than in ProPage. The
pictures are stored in the main file, not separately. This means you need
room for all the scans in ram. Now, this is somewhat limiting, unless you
have loads of ram. (Just for interest, the scanned photograph in our 2.2 ad
is 20 megs, and was edited into the PostScript file since it was too big
for ram.) Bitmap picture handling changes are on the wishlist. BTW,
remember, if you import a pic, two copies are put in ram: one in the doc,
one in the cutcopy buffer. Therefore, to free up that memory, copy a small
object and you'll get some ram back.
