There are better programs that Harvard Graphics which are easier to use. And even if our Amiga's multitasking is aided by hardware, it can easily be made up by using a more powerful engine. And since a dos machine running a 33 Mhz '486, VGA, 85 meg 18ms HD, 8 meg of ram and Windows 3.0 will (gag) run rings around an Amiga of the same price (at our local Las Vegas Dealers, an Amiga 2000, with a populated 8-up! board, one floppy and a 1950 monitor costs the same as that '486 and with the '486 you get a hard drive!), well, you tell me which is the better deal for most people? And OK, the animation and paint software is better for the Amiga. Honestly now, unless you make your living doing computer graphics, is that REALLY the reason to buy a certain type of computer? And I too love the Amiga. Bought my first one in '86 and still have it! And in addtion to the A1000, I also have an A500 and an A2000 (configured with a GVP 33 Mhz '030, 5 meg ram and 200 meg of HD, along with a CD-ROM). What do I use them for? 3 things, downloading files for our bbs, playing games and checking out files for our BBS (Lharc is FAST on a 33 Mhz machine!). I use my Mac Plus for checking out/downloading files as well. But for 99% of my WORK, and my programming, it's my '386 that almost never gets turned off.
