Mike, Thanks for the quick response. As mentioned in my last previous message to you, it appears that the problem was a lack of memory in my machine. The Spectrum board swaps screen data to and from fast ram, so it takes up system memory in addition to using its own video ram. I guess Imagine 2.9 uses just enough additional memory so that I had enough to run 2.0 but not 2.9. With an additional 8 megs, all is well here now 😉 Darron
