ICD Upgrade to A500?
Al,
I would suggest that you forget about upgrading your A500 and go for an
A2000. I had an A500 for a long time, and expanded it eventually to 4.5M
of RAM and a 42M hard disk. I bought an A1500 a few weeks back (an A1500
is like an A2000 without a hard drive), with a 240M hard drive and an extra
2M RAM. I only wish I'd done this much sooner. Why? Because it seemed to
me that the A500 was approaching its limit. Sure, I could have bought me
an accelerator, larger hard disk and more memory, all in one neat unit.
But what if I wanted to expand more in the future? Plus, I didn't want to
end up with a hard disk with no computer for it to plug into the side of.

else?
My thought too. Plus, would all these bits hanging off the main board work
together reliably?
I was also anticipating that I would have a need for a second computer, and
this was a major factor in my case.
As for ICD's products, I haven't had any experience of them.
