AApro CRASHING
[B
Well I tend to panic pretty quickly. Autoexec an config.sys I changed back
to the way they have been running for about the last year. Not much in
autoexec and files and buffers in config.sy I think are set to 40. I was
only able to run about 5 minutes max. in AApro and sometimes I couldn't
even get in. This c controller was very simple (and cheap). It did not have
any ports or anything. Bu But I did what I should have done before even
seeking assistance, and this is bring a controller home from work. The
system at work runs fine with AApro. Well I haven't had a failure yet
(after about 2 hours of work in AApro). So I guess the logical conclusion
is that AApro does not like the way the Identity ID220 controller deals
with memory. That was after all the only thing that r really changed. I
have used Windows and AApro on the same systems and are – I mean – am
familiar what happens to config.sys. Anyway, I have purchased another
controller, taken the test controller back to work, and tried the new one
with AApro. I haven't experienced any problems with the new controller but
I only did about 30 minutes of work. But I couldn't even get that far
before. So I would be willing to bet the problem is solved. Lesson
learned-no more $10 controllers. Thanks for the reply and I will let you
know if I encounter any more problems with the new controller.
