The supply is non-standard, the connection is standard. The only thing
non-standard about the supply that I remember is that it supplies 'tick'
to the motherboard.
Again, there is something drawing the "dead" air through your case — the
fan in your power supply. Enclosures are designed such that the power
supply fan draws air through the entire case.
