Use What In Europe?
I made the move from the US to Europe some years ago and have not
experienced any problems except for having (i.e. wanting) to exchange
a NTSC Agnus with a PAL one in my A1000, but with the current Amigas
I believe, that they will 'feel' the 50/60 Hz power and boot in the
corresponding PAL/NTSC mode automatically.
Just make sure, that you get a true 220 V -> 110 V transformer e.g. a
heavy one with a copper coil around an iron core. You probably will
be able to buy one in Scotland in an electronics store for hobbyists
or check the Computer Shopper, where I found one, which I built into
a box.
Once you have your 110 V, modems, printers etc. will work just fine
albeit not necessarily legal, but just don't tell anybody. The
telephone wall plug, however, may be different.
