Virtually all 3-D software systems permit 3-D modeling (digitization)
using a camera captured background. I realize 3-D Studio does permit
this (load pix as background, see background in shaper). If the
background contains small objects or intricate type it is virtually
impossible to see what you're drawing over as no provision has been
made to be able to have any zoom capabilities on the background. As
you are aware, if you in- advertently hit zoom, only the wire
(shapes) get larger and you can never hope to return to your model
exactly over the background. I know… disable scrolling…that's not
what I'm talking about….Is there any hope that in Release 3.0 this
glaring shortcoming is going to be fixed-or is there some trick I'm
unaware of to magnify the drawing making digitization a more simple
and exacting process? I'd really appreciate your inputs on this as it
is a daily frustration. Thanks
